The 2020 Volvo V60 continues to impress car buyers who want a car that is reliable and decent. The T6 version has been dropped but the Cross Country version is a welcome addition to its lineup. There are plenty of room in its posh interior.

Adding more horsepower to its base model, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class is a truly promising ride. This one also made exterior and interior styling updates, thus appealing to the more modern market.

Design & Style

Offering the most comfortable seats that you will ever find in the market for wagons, the Volvo V60 is praised for accommodating five adults without any hassle at all. In fact, it has enough legroom even on the rear seat to accommodate taller passengers. It comes standard with leather upholstery, which is accentuated by wood trims. It is simply elegant, sporty, and modern.

Promising to give a comfortable interior for its five-seating capacity configuration, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC really knows how to mesmerize avid followers of the brand. It is also well-insulated inside. Note, however, that the coupe version does not have the promise of rear seat comfort.

Technology & Safety

With the same reliable Sensus infotainment system that pairs well with the nine-inch vertical touch screen display, the 2020 Volvo V60 offers great functionalities. Topping the list is smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This is also blessed with a 10-speaker audio, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a satellite radio. Safety features include the rearview camera, as well as more advanced driver aids like lane keep assist, lane departure warning, pedestrian detection, road departure mitigation, forward automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, and oncoming collision mitigation.

Technology wise, the GLC has standard features like the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system. This is paired with a 10.25-inch touch screen, two USB ports, HD Radio, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth. It does not have as much safety standards as the ones found in the V60. Its list includes a rearview camera, driver drowsiness monitoring, active brake assist, and crosswind assist. Pre-Safe for imminent collision warning is also standard.

With the base engine promising 255 horsepower in terms of results, the GLC-Class knows how to attract attention. It can hit as much as 503 horsepower for its V8 engine. There is a turbo lag for its base engine especially when stepping on the gas.

As for the 2020 Volvo V60, there are two engine options. One is the T5 setup that has a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, to pack up to a maximum of 250 horsepower. There is also the Polestar Engineered engine in the T8, which reaches up to 415 horsepower.

The Bottom Line

Dashingly handsome on the outside, and absolutely stunning and comfortable inside, the 2020 Volvo V60 knows how to impress everyone who is looking for a family car. Go back to its long list of features and you will be thrilled with it even more.
